How To Assemble Canvas Stretcher Bars

Measure Width and Length to make sure LEFT and RIGHT sides have the same width or length. This is very important for the future frame assembling. Also check the height and width of the stretcher bars and make any fine adjustments by tapping the bars with a mallet.

Use flush light at the canvas back to see the canvas printing easily and to mark canvas printing position with pencil.

You can easily to mark canvas printing 4 corners and then put the stretch bars to the perfect position.

First fasten Thumbtack at one side. Not stretch canvas at this step.

Then Stretch canvas tight and fasten thumbtack firmly.

Then Stretch canvas tight and fasten thumbtack firmly.

Gently make edge at the canvas.

Then cut one corner because canvas is heavy and thick. You do not need to cut this corner if canvas is light and thin. be careful when you cut this corner not cut too much otherwise not good.

Then fold canvas as the above photo to get perfect corner for canvas.
